AMD announced that it entered into an agreement with Nortel Networks to supply it with the majority of its flash memory requirements over the next three years. Under the contract, AMD will provide Nortel with AMD flash memory devices that are intended to support its evolving customer needs for networking solutions.
“This agreement with AMD, our 1999 Supplier of the Year, assures supply of the critical flash memory products that are required to meet our continued growth in the Optical, Access, Wireless and Enterprise businesses,” said Ken Bradley, Chief Procurement Officer, Nortel Networks.
